If you are moving into a site that has Cavalier Broadband Internet provided for you by your landlord, property management firm or condominium association, all you need is a PC with an operating system that supports TCP/IP and can obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP client).

  • Windows 98
  • Windows Millenium Edition (ME, not the same as Windows 2000)
  • Windows 2000
  • Windows XP
  • Windows XP (any edition)
  • Mac OS9 (and later)
  • Linux
  • Personal Router (wired or wireless)
Your computer will need an Ethernet card (LAN card) and a Category 5 (CAT5) Ethernet cable.

Personal routers are supported, but we ask that you refer to the FAQ's for more specific information on personal routers.
