RIAA files 23 lawsuits against NCSU

Pre-litigation settlements were followed by lawsuits this week for the University's illegal downloaders

 
The RIAA filed 23 John Doe lawsuits against students at NC State for illegal music downloading. The students are waiting to see if the judge who granted the subpoena will also allow the name discovery process to begin. Once the RIAA has your name, you can bet they will share it with the record companies, since the student/downloader did not settle in advance.
